5eme Anglo Saxons, Vikings and Normans!
This term we’ve designed Top Trump cards for Anglo Saxon Gods, debated which monk was the most significant and acted like Vikings, to look at how the power of the Church changed in Britain through several invasions.

6eme Dahl Day
We did a range of activities based on the books of Roald Dahl to celebrate Dahl Day.
Boy these are good poems!
Over the last term, the 6eme pupils have been reading Boy by Roald Dahl. They have also looked at the features and structures of different types of poems. They were set the task of creating a poem that summarised Dahl’s character in the book and they did a tremendous job.
Congratulations from English Heritage
Our 6eme class did so well identifying who Person X was from his luggage, that English Heritage sent them a letter of congratulations. Here is an example of their work and the letter we received.
Monarchs-a-Mundo
4eme2 and 4eme3 have been studying different British monarchs this term, in order to determine if the monarchy was strong before the English Civil War. We have debated, created newspapers and even made sweet timelines. Here is some of 4eme’s work, now on display outside the Anglophone Office.
Archeologists in Training
This term, 6eme3 have been acting like archeologists to figure out the identity of a mystery person known as Person X. Will they identify who this character is? Continue reading
Dizzy with Dahl!
This year we kicked off in two 6eme by celebrating Roald Dahl Day. In true Dahl style, we experimented with sweets and we also watched the footage produced by The Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre for the special day. Both classes have been reading Dahl’s fantastic biography, Boy, and producing our own biographies and autobiographies, which we hope to show you soon!
Read All About It!
6eme1 and 6eme2 produced a newspaper article together based on the book War Horse. They are now working on their own articles, so hopefully I will be able to post them soon.
